Welcome to PRIMAtalk!

PRIMAtalk is a members-only, automated email discussion group designed for interactive discussions with your risk management peers.
 

Get quick feedback on issues that are important to you in your work as a public sector risk manager. Keep your finger on the pulse of public risk management by using PRIMAtalk today!
 

PRIMAtalk is home to a variety of diverse view points and opinions. We ask that you observe the following guidelines.

 

  • Avoid resending the entire message to which you are replying by cutting and pasting the relevant parts into your response. And, please do not resend a digest back to the email list.
  • Please don't try to sell anything.
  • Please do not discuss or disclose actual pricing of products and services.
  • Keep your postings polite and in the realm of good taste (okay, just not too gross).
  • That which is hateful to you, don't do to your neighbor (no flaming).
  • The postings should have something to do with risk management or local government.

 

Subscription Information:

All members are automatically subscribed to PRIMAtalk. You are a listserv member simply by virtue of being a PRIMA member. PRIMAtalk can be accessed through PRIMA’s Community.

 

All PRIMA members must log into PRIMA’s Community to post a message to PRIMAtalk. Members can choose to receive individual PRIMAtalk messages or a daily digest by editing their group notification defaults in the PRIMAtalk group. PRIMA members can also unsubscribe from all PRIMAtalk messages by leaving the group.

 

To Post a Message:

  1. Login to PRIMA’s Community.
  2. Click on PRIMAtalk under Community Groups or My Groups.
  3. Click on "Add discussion."

To Reply to a Message:

  1. Click on Reply in the PRIMA Notifications Email you received.

  2. Login (if you are not already logged in) to the PRIMA Community.

  3. Type your reply and hit Submit.

To Join a Sub-Group:

In order to join a specialized subgroup, you must be a member of and logged into PRIMAtalk. To log onto PRIMAtalk,  log into PRIMA’s Community and click on PRIMAtalk under Community Groups.  Then click on the Subgroups tab in the middle of the page, click the subgroup you would like to join and then click the Join Group link.

 

PRIMAtalk members can join any or all of the following groups:

 

1.       Disaster Recovery/Emergency Management

2.       ERM/ISO 31000

3.       Human Resources

4.       Schools

5.       Workers’ Compensation

Discussions posted in PRIMAtalk will not be automatically cross-posted to the sub-groups. Discussions posted in the sub-groups will be automatically cross-posted to PRIMAtalk.

  1. Login to PRIMA’s Community.
  2. Click on PRIMAtalk under Community Groups or My Groups.
  3. Click on Edit Group Notification Defaults

 

To Unsubscribe:

  1. Login to PRIMA’s Community.
  2. Click on PRIMAtalk under Community Groups or My Groups.
  3. Click on Leave Group.
