As part of its partnership with PRIMA, PERI has funded a number of innovative programs to benefit the public risk management community.
Current PERI-funded initiatives include:
- Enterprise Risk Management: How to Implement the ISO 31000 Standard: This two-day training program is designed to teach public sector entities and higher education institutions how to implement ERM by applying the standard throughout their organizations.
- ARMStudyGroup.com: PRIMA and PERI stakeholders now have access to free ARM, ERM and RMPE online tutorial courses via ARMStudyGroup.com. The Study Group is led and facilitated by Erike Young, Google’s global safety manager.
- Public Risk Management Needs Assessment: Led by the University of California and Bickmore, this groundbreaking study supports PRIMA’s effort to learn more about the way risk management is perceived in communities, the knowledge level of those performing the risk management function, the maturity of risk management programs, and gaps in information and knowledge that need to be filled
- Speakers Bureau: The PRIMA Speakers Bureau gives chapters the opportunity to bring dynamic risk management speakers to their meetings and conferences. PRIMA chapters can request a speaker from an extensive list of risk management experts curated by PRIMA. Funded by the PERI, this initiative provides speakers at no cost to the chapter.
