Attending this year’s conference was beneficial in William’s exploration with regards to how he may be able to include underwriting and insurance knowledge within public risk.

William is currently a junior studying risk management and insurance at St. John's University with an everlasting passion for underwriting. His work experience includes being a current risk assessment and insurance management intern at the NYC School Construction Authority, assistant merchant at Huang Fashion Inc., content creator for YouTube and carrier at Apparel Production Inc. In each of these roles, William’s ability to liaison/attend meetings with incoming clients/brokers, analyze and create analytical spreadsheets of insurance contracts, or problem-solve to meet deadlines is executed. Being the secretary of Gamma Iota Sigma’s Alpha Iota Chapter, his presentation/group skills are tested with duties including reporting to the Grand Chapter all logistics/data that he must gather from all the organization’s events, as well as assisting with numerous events.
