Follow these steps:
1. Click the "Login" tab at the top of the page.
2. Select the “If you do not have an account, click here” option.
4. When finished, click on "Join/Renew" located at the top of the page and begin your online transaction to join.
For organizational membership, please be sure to select the name of the organization from the drop-down menu and “Shop For” the organization.

PRIMA offers several categories of membership, based on the makeup of your entity or organization. The categories include:
A. Government (voting)
State agencies, local governments and intergovernmental risk-sharing pool administrators join PRIMA as regular voting members. Additional benefits include subscriptions to Public Risk, access to the members-only area of the Web site, program announcements, discounted registration fees for all PRIMA seminars, conference and publications and all access to the PRIMA Cybrary. State agencies, local governments and intergovernmental risk sharing pool administrators must have a government membership to qualify for an associate membership.
Each Government Member will be entitled to up to three votes in the affairs of the Association to be cast by its designated representative(s), provided the entity pays government membership dues for each designated representative.
Membership: $385 per year.
B. Associate (non-voting)
Additional individuals from government member state agencies, local governments and intergovernmental risk sharing pool staff that already have a PRIMA government membership can join PRIMA as associate members. Regional offices that specialize in the same sector as the government membership may also join as associate members. An associate membership only covers one individual and not an entire entity/organization. This membership is meant to further personalize a PRIMA membership. Associate members receive all membership benefits including a subscription to Public Risk and program announcements, plus discounts on PRIMA seminars, conferences and publications. Additional benefits include receiving PRIMA emails as well as access to members-only area of Web site and access to the PRIMA Cybrary. Associate members do not receive voting rights in the association.
Membership: $220 per year.
These members receive individual subscriptions to Public Risk, access to the members-only area of Web site and program announcements, access to the PRIMA Cybrary, plus discounts on PRIMA seminars, conferences and publications. Service providers, non-profit organizations, educators, students, and non-governmental organizations or individuals join PRIMA in one of three affiliate membership categories:
Membership: $770 per year.
Membership: $374 per year.
Membership: $374 per year.
Public sector risk management professionals who are currently unemployed and actively seeking employment in the public sector within the year. This membership type is non-renewable.
Membership: $25 from the time of unemployment up to one year.
5. Student (non-voting)
This category is for full-time students pursuing a undergraduate or graduate degree in risk management, occupational safety, public administration, insurance or a related field.
Membership: $65 per year
This category is for risk management and insurance faculty members in public colleges or universities and is renewable at the appropriate individual or organizational member rate.
Membership: 1st year complimentary.
Need to join the old-fashioned way?
Just print out the membership application, complete the form and either fax it back to PRIMA along with your credit card information or mail the completed application to PRIMA with your membership dues payment.
You will receive confirmation of your membership, as well as your membership card, within 7-10 business days. Your first issue of Public Risk magazine will be mailed in the upcoming month.
