In this episode, Ben Duffy discusses the cyber risk challenges facing public sector organizations. Ben explains how cyber risk differs from traditional risks because of its dynamic nature and third-party dependencies. Using the Canvas cybersecurity incident as an example, he highlights the systemic impact of cyber events across interconnected organizations. Ben advises risk managers to prioritize visibility and focus on high-impact vulnerabilities rather than attempting to address everything at once, emphasizing continuous, sustainable cyber governance over point-in-time assessments.
