Summary of Qualifications

Joseph has over 30 years experience and proficiency helping organizations optimize their operations while protecting their workers and the public. He maintains professional certifications as an industrial hygienist, safety professional, hazardous materials manager, and risk management assurance. Joseph is also a certified OSHA trainer for general industry and construction.

Responsibilities

Joseph guides organizations to improve their overall operations while targeting EHS performance through assurance reviews, performance metrics, risk reduction and mitigation techniques. He helps clients with complex large loss such as fire, weather, and water to quickly return to operations and/or providing services. Joseph serves as a subject matter expert to clients throughout the United States in environmental, health, safety, legal and risk management.

Business Experience

Joseph has 18 years in the public sector and over 30 years total in industry sectors such as manufacturing, construction, higher education and research, health care, utilities, water and wastewater, retail stores, warehousing and distribution, and the food industry. He taught university courses in industrial hygiene, air quality management, OSHA compliance, working at heights, toxicology, and environmental health for 15 years and served as faculty advisor to the local American Society of Safety Professionals-Student Group.

Education

Joseph earned his PhD in safety sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has a Graduate Certificate in CBRN Defense, pharmacology & toxicology from Wright State University, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a BS in environmental science from Indiana University-Bloomington.
