John is a risk control consultant specializing in local government liability issues. He is a litigation attorney using knowledge gained from over 25 years of trial practice to show clients how to mitigate and avoid risks to reduce the likelihood of ending up in court.
Responsibilities
John meets with local governmental clients to assess programs, operations and procedures in order to determine a risk control plan tailored to the client's needs that will implement the best practices to reduce risks and avoid claims. He responds to questions and concerns of the clients may have in implementing new programs or policies to spot any potential problem areas.
Business Experience
John has been employed directly by the City of Indianapolis and State of Indiana to advise and represent various departments and employees. He worked in private practice concentrating on municipal entity liability. He has tried a multitude of cases in both state and federal courts and argued before both the Indiana Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit in Chicago. John has also worked in the insurance industry as an attorney, claims representative and now in risk control.
